Hi, I’m Emily, the founder and dessert artist behind Emochi Dessert & Cake. I’always believed that food especially sweets can bring people closer, evoke memories, and create moments of joy. That belief has shaped my journey, from a curious little girl watching my mom cooking, to launching a dessert business that blends tradition, creativity, and heart.
Life eventually brought me to Vancouver, and here, I found myself reconnecting with that passion — this time with desserts and cakes.
I started exploring different techniques and flavor, experimenting with ingredients, and eventually discovering a special love for mochi and cakes. I spent countless hours learning how to perfect it — from the classic methods to finding just the right balance of taste and texture.
With finding a charming kitchen space here in Vancouver, it felt like the final piece of the puzzle. That space gave me the push to turn my quiet passion into something real. Emochi Dessert & Cake was founded — a name that combines “Emily” and “Mochi”.
At Emochi, every treat is handcrafted, using high-quality ingredients and inspired by both Asian and Western flavors.
